Did you know that before Aricama, Maria designed clothes under the name MARICAMA? In ninth-grade English class, she wasn’t paying attention and decided she wanted to be known by one name, like Picasso.
So she took the “A” out of Maria and the “I” out of Camia and formed MARICAMA.
However, in 2013, the name MARICAMA was already taken on Instagram, so she created “theMARICAMA,” which also looked like “Them Aricama.”
To this day, Maria continues to learn who they are.
